Dan Faulk-Lewis Porter Freeology is BACK ! Their CD is recorded and
mixed and will be out very soon. This quartet has a unique concept--almost every tune has
a composed element, a swinging element, and a free element. The four
band members are all well-known artists with many CDs to their credit.
Dan Faulk is a world-class saxophonist who has made many CDs and has
performed at the Village Vanguard and many major festivals with Barry
Harris, Jimmy Heath, Wayne Shorter, Steve Turré, James Spaulding, and
for nearly 2 years, with the late great J.J. Johnson. (There will be THREE other groups on the bill—we play from 9 to about 945pm.)
